INSTRUMENTS
We offer a unique pipeline from sample processing, staining (histology) and image acquisition (bioimaging) through to data analysis, providing publication-ready results.
Confocal Laser Scanning Microscope Olympus FV3000
Our confocal laser scanning microscope (FV3000) is framed in an inverted microscope IX83, equipped with eight laser lines (405nm, 445nm, 488nm, 514nm, 561nm, 594nm, 640nm and 730nm). It has objectives ranging from 4X, 10X, 20x dry to 30x silicone, 40x oil and 60x water. The FV3000 has six fluorescent detectors, four of them are the latest generation spectral GaAsP detectors and two near infrared (GaAs) detectors. In combination with the motorised stage and micro-incubator with precise CO2 and temperature delivery, it allows recording of multipoint time lapses with optimal experimental conditions.
The FV3000 is equipped with a resonant scanning mode, for ultra-fast acquisition of 438 frames per second for physiological studies and a super resolution acquisition mode for recording structures up to 120nm apart.
We have full-time support staff available to provide expert advice and training. We welcome standard research approaches and support the development of new and innovative applications to advance scientific discovery.

Olympus VS200 whole slide scanner
Our whole slide scanner (VS200) has five imaging formats (brightfield, darkfield, phase contrast, polarisation and fluorescent) and automatic focus evaluation during acquisition, ensuring a high-quality image. It can load up to 200 slides for automated acquisition across a range of magnifications from 2x to 60x oil (complete with an oil auto-dispenser).
The VS200 has an impressive acquisition speed of less than 60 sec per slide for a 15 mm2 brightfield sections at a 20x magnification. It offers. With eight fluorescent filters the VS200 is a versatile piece of equipment for multiplex imaging digital archiving, and deep discovery using image analysis techniques, supported by our Bioimaging Specialist.

Incucyte S3
Incucyte S3 is a high throughput live imaging and analysis system within an incubator for optimal environmental conditions for long-term time-lapse experiments.
The Incucyte supports universal multi-well plates from 6 to 384 wells, also T75 and T25 and 10 cm petri dish. It has brightfield and fluorescent capabilities in the green and red emission spectrum and is equipped with 4x, 10x and 20x objective for whole well image recording of multi field of view per well.
The Incucyte has image analysis software for post processing analysis or on the fly analysis including an analysis module for scratch assay and proliferation and viability.
In addition to the Incucyte, a wound marker for standardised and high-throughput wound assay formation is available for use.

IVIS-Spectrum (PerkinElmer)
The In-vivo imaging system (IVIS) offer the capability to image preclinical models in a non-invasive format.
IVIS Spectrum system can acquired bioluminescence or fluorescence signal located in targeted tumour or diseased cells, allowing longitudinal imaging experiments monitoring vaccines efficacy and disease progression.
The isolation chamber and several imaging formats provide optimal conditions to reduce cross-contamination during experiments. Equipped with 12 excitation filter and 24 emission filter provide a very flexible and accurate recording configurations.

The supercooled CCD camera (-90C) gives users highly sensitive detection with low background noise for enhanced resolution and sensitivity.
